Some dude from yahoo answers had a cool question. Now, its obvious he hasnt taken my secret quiz, but ignore that, and focus on his question, and how I answer it.
Question:
How many people think there would be fewer date rapes if women stopped getting plastered at frat parties? If college women stopped getting “fall down drunk” at frat parties and at house parties, then do you think it’d result in fewer date rapes?
Are women making themselves “easier targets” when they drink all of their inhibitions away?
Would a potential “date rapist” go after the girl that had a mild buzz going, or the one, that’s clearly drunk & dancing on the table with sexually charged moves?
My answer:
Yes, you are completely right. The only thing that the mainstream media is lying about it is the date-rape thing.
Many women who have willing sex with a man, or even start making overt sexual moves on the man themselves, will later tell everyone it was date-rape in order to not appear like a slut to the society. Many women do this, since this is their best defense mechanism against being accused of “whoring around.”
Date rapists are not guys who usually intentionally go and find drunk women to harass. In many cases, both the man and the woman are drunk and they both willingly have sex.
Plus, I will let you on a little secret. When women are only a little bit drunk, THAT IS USUALLY THE REAL THEM. That is what they really are like. It’s the old saying “what the sober person thinks, the drunk one says”.

Everyone knows that they do it on purpose, so that they can get some d*ck without being called a slut. It’s just an excuse, if they really didn’t want this to happen to them, (assuming they’ve drunk before) KNOWING what alcohol does. They wouldn’t drink as much.
Replace the booze with cocaine and it would become consentual rape, wouldn’t it.
This is complete bull. A woman could be completely sober, take one drink that is laced with the date rape drug, and is then out. It doesn’t matter whether or not they’re slopping drunk or sober. Maybe if the date rapist had any ounce of sanity in him, he wouldn’t go rape an innocent woman.
I can’t understand how the universities are not liable in these cases since most college students are under the legal drinking age. The schools should ban drinking on campus.
If the Rape Industry liars were tossed off of campuses, take back the night marches banned and women weren’t told that they will all be raped at least once while in college they would stop falsely claiming rape so frequently. They also should be taught to be responsible adults and not big children who can run in harms way practically begging for disaster, then told it can never ever be their fault in any way.

I very much agree. There is a huge problem with the way western society uses alcohol. In both men and women.
Let’s not absolve those who are doing to raping though – being unconscious is not consent or an excuse to have sex with someone. There are a small minority of men who will coerce women into having sex with them because the women are too drunk to be able to say no. These men will openly disclose this in research providing you don’t use the word ‘rape’. For these men, this is something to be proud of.
I’m not saying that drunk women deserve to be raped, but that it’s highly likely they wouldn’t find themselves in those situations. Prevention is better than prosecution.
I think that women SHOULD be careful and take precautions. However, that doesn’t mean that if an individual rapes the girls that’s plastered and unable to process what’s going on that its not rape or that she deserved it. It means she made some bad choices and put herself in a bad situation. BUT its still rape. And the individual who purposefully targets women (or men) who are too drunk to give consent is still a rapist. Could it have been avoided? Maybe. But that doesn’t excuse what happened or absolve the rapist.
How about promoting the idea that a woman’s body belongs to her and getting her drunk does not give a man the right to use it.
I am what you call, “a lady” and so I agree that there are a lot of women these days going around and asking for trouble. I think that yes, that would help. One always has to be in control…that includes the guys. There is not excuse for raping a girl no matter how loose she is. A judge will probably tell you the same. The men have to also be responsible unless they want to consider themselves as mere dogs without control. A date rapist will look for either of the women described. If a guy doesn’t like those kind of women (as a gentlemen shouldn’t) then he should refrain from wild parties himself. It is all about morals on both sides.
thats sick, its like saying only men should have fun at college with other men getting plastered and then they can date rape each other, i doubt all woman parties would be doing that to each other but am sure the men would. some of these guys r just sick and have no respect for women and like to blame the victim-lots of women do this too against other women. women are suppose to NOT HAVE ANY FUN only men can
a woman’s body belongs to her, and if she is stupid enough to abuse it, put herself in the situation that it may be abused by others, than she should take total responsibility for her actions and the subsequent reactions.
Look, think past the ‘binge drinking’ frat parties for a second, and understand that date rape is not always a case of a freshman girl at the Omega Lambda Phi party getting completely trashed. Although it does happen, this is not always the case. And it wont’ decrease the chances of rape taking place.
Two examples,
A woman had one glass of wine and become completely incoherent. She’s completely drunk off her @$$ to on lookers watching her. So they all assumed she’s had too much to drink and that her date is taking her home. Her speech becomes slurred, she can’t sit up on her own, and she’s incapable of walking on her own. “Man she’s wasted’ one guy replies as he and his party laughs. The guy she’s with asks for the check and they leave. What the on-lookers in the restaurant doesn’t know is that her date has just slipped a ‘roofie’ into her drink a.k.a the date rape drug. When he went to the bar and purchased their drinks to bring it back to the table, he added a little something ‘extra’ for her at the bottom of her glass of merlot. People seen her drinking so they assumed one to many glasses of merlot is what ‘did her in’.
Now, imagine across town a is going to a guys house for dinner. she gets there, and everything is going grate, dinner was nice (candle lit) grate music, fire place roaring. She’s thinking to herself, this is a really grate guy. And lets take out the alcohol out of the picture. Let’s say the woman doesn’t drink at all (there are women who don’t drink). As he looks as his watch, he decides its time to make his move because he’s ready to ‘do the do’; but she says no. He doesn’t take no for an answer and does it anyway (may she be a willing participant or not). The neighbors don’t think much of it, because he’s always ‘getting down’ with a woman every other night,so they ignore the yells and screams for help as usual.
The examples I’ve given are two cases that I’ve assisted with during my first month and a half as a Rape Advocate. Two totally different women in two totally difference scenarios (on a date) that both ended with them being raped. Only difference, one was drinking and the other one wasn’t. Alcohol can increase the probably of her being raped, but not having alcohol doesn’t decrease the chances either.
Of course there would be fewer date rapes if the definition of date rape victims decreased. That’s like asking if the number of child molestations decreased if children decreased. Seems a bit sadistic now, doesn’t it?
Yes, there would be less rape if girls did not get plastered at frat parties. But plastered or not, no one deserves to be raped, no matter what kind of dance they’re doing – PERIOD !!!
Why not have both sex not drive so much at partys. why does it just have to be just girls and women not plastered? Don’t think the rapiest might be drunk as well.
The only way to have fewer date rapes is to stop allowing a small group of man – hating lesbians to define what constitutes rape. In case you have not noticed, the definition of rape has pretty much become whatever a woman says it is. Men (and straight women) better wake up or pretty soon the only sex that will be able to take place legally is state (lesbian) sanctioned sex.
Women definitely need to be careful when drinking. I cannot understand why women don’t fear getting raped as much as they should. So many women are so obsessed with equality with men, that they fail to see that men and women are not equal. Men want sex more than women do, and men are stronger than women. So guess what women? You don’t want to be drunk around a bunch of men, and even when you’re sober, you need to be careful of drunk men who are trying to score.
